Following the transition to Phase C of the Return to Rugby a Roadmap, we have restarted touch rugby on a Monday night.

WE RETURN TO TOUCH RUGBY MONDAYS!

Following the RFU’s announcement that we are now able to progress into Phase C of the Return to Rugby Roadmap, this also means that we are able to restart our casual touch rugby games on a Monday evening.

Places are limited to 20 players, therefore BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL. Please message Neil McNaughton on 07496139153 to book your place. Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

A few reminders for those attending:

- Any form of contact rugby is still NOT permitted.

- Players are advised to bring their own water bottles and towels that are clearly identified and stored away from others. Sharing of water bottles towels or clothing should always be avoided.

- All players are required to use hand sanitiser before entering the pitch and throughout the session. Sessions should have regular breaks at a maximum of 15 minutes to ensure the ball and equipment can be cleaned and sanitised.

- Attendees must find suitable off site parking as the club car park is still unavailable at the present time. Please do not park along the edge of the main road (A686) as the police are monitoring this road.

- Please ensure you are wearing suitable footwear before entering onto the AGP. If you are unsure whether your boots are suitable for the pitch surface, please get in touch and we will be happy to advise.

A few notes from the RFU:

“Those with underlying health conditions, who may be at greater risk from Covid-19, should consider the transmission risk in group activity and decide whether to return to rugby. There is no pressure for anyone to come back to training, playing, coaching or match officiating.

The UK Government social distancing guidance should be adhered to where applicable. All attendees must abide by social distancing measures, except during permitted training activity and matches, keeping a 2m distance between themselves and others where reasonably practical in and out of
the sporting environment.”

We’re really pleased to be able to take this step forward towards normal rugby and glad we are able to offer touch rugby again at our cracking facilities ??
