A very positive morning of girls rugby at Netherhall with the girls adapting very well and showing exemplary behaviour.

As it was Netherhalls first game back the focus was on making the games challenging and enjoyable for all. The girls had to adapt including playing less numbers and even 2 volunteers playing for Netherhall!
A very positive morning of girls rugby at Netherhall with the girls adapting very well and showing exemplary behaviour.
As it was Netherhalls first game back the focus was on making the games challenging and enjoyable for all. The girls had to adapt including playing less numbers and even 2 volunteers playing for Netherhall!
The teams played 4 x 10 min sessions which were all evenly contested.
1ST Session highlights.
After Charlotte Harnwell took the kick off well Netherhall pounced on some loose ball to score. Good kick chase and continuity led to Amber scoring in the corner. Caitlin Padgett then scored a fine individual try one of several she would score, ripping the ball from the attacker and speeding down the wing to score. Jess Grahams barnstorming run set up a try for Lili P-T to step and score.
Try by Chloe Brown after good movement of the ball by Charlotte, Amber and Emily Hetherington.

2nd Session highlights
From kick off good movement of the ball wide where Sofia Hellivik burst through several tackles to run the length of the pitch showing strength and pace. Jess and Pippa Shay were working hard in defence with some excellent tackles.
Charlotte quick thinking led to Amber scoring. Caitlin burst several tackles on way to another fine individual try. A mess up from kick off saw Netherhall score.
Maebh McGrath ran well and fine off load to Aimee Powell- Currie gaining good ground but defence was solid.
Maisy Egglestone passed wide well to Lili who ran and stepped well to score.
Beca Newby ripped the ball in the tackle on her own line then set off with great footwork beating defenders then pace to score full length of pitch try.
Impressive tackles from Charlotte, Leila Robinson and Katie Smith who was also strong at the tackle gaining turnovers.

3rd Session highlights
Netherhall had more possession so defence was tested, Becca, Amber,Evie Holme, Pippa, Aimee and Katie impressing with their workrate and tackles – Pippa managing 3 tackles in a row!
The ball was kept alive with Emily, Lexie Clark and Lily Bell working well.
Another fantastic Caitlin run for 1st try then Amber pass and loop with Lili to score.

4th Session highlights.
Amber and Leila bravely volunteered to play for Netherhall and performed well.
While Penrith were coming to terms with the changes Netherhall took advantage of a fumble to score. Becca cover tackle saved a certain score. Penny Robinson who led the team well put in a thumping tackle to stop a good Netherhall attack. Some loss of focus with some ball watching gave Netherhall the ascendancy to score again.
Becca led the way in response with a good break. Penny carried strongly ith Aimee in support who was stopped just short with the ball moved to Lili to finish well.
Katie continued to set the example with her work rate.
Caitlin then ran and off loaded well to Aimee but strong defence caused an error.
Evie made a fantastic cover tackle before Caitlin broke down the wing breaking several tackles to score probably her best try. Katie made a great run but was penalised for 2nd movement as she reached to score. Penriths next attack saw the ball run loose and Amber (playing for Netherhall picked up, jinked through and showed good pace to score from half way.
