In front of a big crowd Penrith score 8 tries in Cup quarter-final

Penrith and Upper Eden had a good crowd and an excellent afternoon's weather for their much anticipated Cumbria Cup tie. The Eden pitch was in perfect condition with playing conditions to match so there would be no excuse for a poor performance.
Penrith  were taking this game seriously and knew they had to get off to a good start, if they let the home side get their noses in front or gave them a sniff of a chance they would be in for a difficult afternoon. They were looking to dominate from the start and that is by and large what they managed to do. They scored four tries in the opening 30 minutes and although Eden had some decent periods of play after that they had in all reality put the game to bed.
After a solid opening they got their first score in the eighth minute, Dan Richardson took quick clean ball in a four man lineout, George Graham made a half break then big Callum Rowlandson made inroads in midfield, the ball then went left to Jamie McNaughton on the wing who got deep into the 22 before being hauled down. When the ball came back infield Eden's former player and skipper Matt Allinson crashed over and ran round the posts for an easy conversion.
Penrith were now in the driving seat and added to their tally following a tap penalty, Rowlandson drove the ball in and it was then moved quickly right, Ed Swale, up in the line from fullback, half looked to step back inside before moving the ball wide to Jon Fell who beat his man on the outside to go in at the corner.
A third score came from a home clearance kick, Swale tidied up and Graham was in support and he fed McNaughton and again he was able to take play deep into Eden territory on the left, the ball was then flung wide right and Ryan Johnson did well to pick the ball off his toes on the half volley to feed Fell who again outpaced the cover to cross in the corner.
Penrith again were pressing and from a 5m scrum Johnson at No8 picked and fed Mike Stephens coming round from the flank. He ran laterally and popped the pass to Phil Armstrong on the crash from outside centre and he burst through the defensive line to go in by the posts.
Penrith were 26 points up in 28 minutes but Eden then staged a come back, they were able to disrupt the visitors at the restart and get among them, they won a penalty and attacked firstly from a 5m attacking lineout and then a 5m scrum but couldn't quite get over the line. They did manage to upset  Penrith's possession and on the stroke of halftime won a couple of penalties the second of which they kicked to get them on the scoreboard.
The second half started relatively serenely, neither side threatened and although Penrith had use of the slope and what breeze there was, they exerted no undue pressure on the home line. It was midway through the half before Penrith added to their score, Josh Dowson on at halftime at flanker was quicker than the rest and won turnover ball in the Eden 22, it was moved sharply left and McNaughton on the wing stepped back inside his opposite number and dived over.
The visitors were now putting a bit of pace back into their game which had been missing for half an hour, they scored next from a 5m scrum, they got a nudge on and when Stephens broke from No8 he had the defence on the back foot and crashed over. Penrith were running through the phases and next on the scoresheet was Dowson who broke a tackle in midfield on the home 22 and then left the cover in his wake as he flew in. Their final try came after Dowson and Ben Littleton made inroads down the left; the ball came right and Mike Fearon who by now was at fullback jinked his way to the line for a classy try.
There were five minutes left and the home side roused themselves and gained good field position on the Penrith line, they threw themselves at the line and were rewarded when after several drives Ben Alderson crossed for try his his endeavours deserved.
