Penrith faced a strong Egremont side today and knew they were in for a tough match.
Penrith started well with a try from the KO, and then slugged it out with Egremont for the first 35 mins ending the half with their No7 leaving the field with concussion and down 12:26 on the scoreboard but very much with all to play for.
Second half started well with Penrith applying steady pressure and maintaining a strong defence. The tries duly came and with 15 minutes to go the scores were 31 a piece.
And then the Penrith wheels came off, whilst Egremont , on the other hand, maintained their cool and pressure , banging in 4 tries and conversions! It was a sad end to the day when a Penrith player was yellow carded in the last few minutes but summed up their last quarter really!
