As expected Kirkby turned up ready to give as good as they got and in the 1st half each side pretty much swopped tries alternately, with the difference being Penriths conversions and a try and conversion just before the half time whistle.

Both sides set pieces were pretty efficient and competition at the ruck full on!

In the end it was the sizeable Penrith bench that allowed them to pull away to what was, in the end , a comfortable win. Kirkby never gave up and their squad spirit is commendable.
