Penrith's tacklers win the day.

A well deserved win for Penrith with the boys showing grit and determination in the 3rd period of play to extend their lead from 9 tries to 7 to a final score of 14 to 9. Just a shame about the cameo appearance of Rip Van Winkle in the 2nd period of play!

Strong start in the 1st period with Penrith's abrasive tackling around the fringes from the likes of Aaron, Felix and Alec in particular contributing significantly to stopping a large Carlisle side in their tracks and the teams rucking and mauling skills, with Zak Parkin and Felix leading the way, often providing quick ball back to Alec. This endeavour allowed for quick distribution and decisive finishing from the likes of Ollie Boyes and Zak Dunn, both of whom bagged 4 tries each, showing not only the benefit of dancing feet but also of pace, space and power out on the wing.

There was plenty of incident in the game with a number of high tackles going in, but Max topped it all by painting the proud green and white shirt of Penrith a mucky red with a thump to the nose.

Man of the match? Well it has to be Aaron who combined try saving tackles with powerful running to put in a great effort for the team.

And where are we? Unbeaten and 81 tries - can they stay that way up to Xmas?!
