The start of a new week again, who thinks the days are going quick? This Monday, our ‘meet a member’ profile is that of Tony I’Anson!
Name: Tony I’Anson
Positions: During his playing years, Tony has played fullback, number 8 and been kicker. During his time at Penrith RUFC, he has taken on a large range of club positions including: 2nd Team Captain, 1st Team Captain, Club President, Match Secretary, committee member, Groundsman and he is now a life member.
How many years at Penrith RUFC: 56 years!
What does he love most about Penrith RUFC: “Friendships made over many years both at home and away clubs.”
What does he want to see Penrith RUFC achieve in the next season of rugby: “A settled side with commitment and to keep our place in the same league.”
What is his fondest memory of Penrith RUFC: “Being Club President at the opening of the new clubhouse.”
Let us know your fondest memory of Tony! He’s a man that has certainly done it all. We appreciate all of the time and effort that Tony has given to this club and we certainly wouldn’t be where we are today without him!
