8. David Nattrass (Club Photographer)

Here’s a familiar face for you all (although mysteriously hidden in this photo)... he’s at every match and provides us with excellent sport photography of our 1st XV team games. This week we have David ‘Natty’ Nattrass, a man who has been involved with Penrith RUFC for many years.

Name: David Nattrass

Positions: “I played for the 1st & 2nd XVs a long time ago in a different era, sat on the committee for a few months and have provided photographs for the press for the past 12 years or so.”

How many years at Penrith RUFC: 44!

His fondest memory of Penrith RUFC:

“The grunt and grit of Penrith spirit. I look back to a "champagne" game against Stockport at Penrith where Gavin Cartmel eventually scored the winning try at the final whistle, after the game was "lost"; a similar result at Rossendale, again, I think Gavin Cartmel scored the try, end to end with about 5 minutes to go but equally as thrilling was the spirit shown by the team in the last game I watched, the 40-10 loss at Northwich. I have seen this time and again across the whole club.”

What does he hope to see Penrith RUFC achieve next season:

“A safe and solid return to "rugby", some games across all the club, for the whole of our community club."

What does he enjoy most about Penrith RUFC:
“The crack, the business and the feel of the club; the whole rugby family.”

On behalf of everyone at the club, we’d just like to take the time to say THANK YOU to Natty for his contributions to the club and his wonderful photographs. It’s inspiring to see such a strong sense of commitment to the club and we’re really grateful to have David as a member of Penrith RUFC.
